Talks and Teachings

I am Katie Wilson and I am so glad you are here. You are invited and welcomed.

I am a child of God, first and foremost, but I live out this privilege as a writer, speaker, painter, mentor, mother, sister, wife, friend and servant. As I continue to live in awe of God’s grace, I am committed more than ever to taking my

everyday, ordinary life—my sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and placing it before God as an offering. Romans 12:1 MSG

I look forward to journeying alongside you.

Katie Wilson was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, where a loving family and the River City watered her roots.  Hutchison All-Girls School taught her sisterhood and the importance of education.  Second Presbyterian Church planted seeds of Christian faith that are reaping a harvest to this day.   Katie attended Vanderbilt University and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology with a Fine Arts minor.  In 1993 Katie married her college sweet heart and was Huntsville bound, adding early childhood and elementary education to her academic credentials at UAH.   20+ years and 3 children later, Katie is writing, painting, mentoring and speaking as a “hope-offerer” locally and internationally, in Brazil, Kenya, Uganda, Costa Rica, India and Germany. She and her family have moved to Tupelo, MS as of 2020 and the Jesus adventure continues! Katie and her family have joined The Orchard Church and call it home. Their faith roots are growing deeper and they are branching out in Jesus Name!

Katie painted, prayed and mentored at  Lincoln Village Ministries from 2010-2020 and was a co-founder of  a community site that was dedicated to uniting believers in the name of Jesus and sharing the glory of God in her city,  Our City On A Hill.  She writes regularly and shares her art at Katiejwilson.com

Katie has attended “She Speaks”, speaking and writing conference, 5 times and continues to learn, grow and share all God has done, is doing and will continue to do with her spoken and written words.

Grounded in her faith, Katie seeks to be an active participant in loving the world well.  She hopes to be an instrument of light, celebrating diversity but not division and promoting peace without forfeiting truth.

Katie aims to leave a conspiracy of kindness in her wake, a legacy of love that flavors today and seasons the generations to come.

~ “Overwhelmed” message is centered around Jesus and The Woman at The Well.

Thank you so much Cindy for your words of encouragement and for the Godly wisdom you share on Twitter. And yes -How the Holy Spirit works is a great and glorious mystery that never ceases to connect the dots and hearts in the most ridiculously awesome ways!!! In a world where the internet can often be chaotic, mean and cowardly, it can also be a great source of comfort, connection, creativity and kindness! So glad Twitter served as a new friend and sister in Christ connector:)
