Freedom

Yesterday at my church, Church of the Highlands, we had the most beautiful voice singing a beautiful rendition of a beautiful song! Check it out below. Prepare to be blessed and get ready for a Holy Goosie moment, an arm-hair raiser!

Song at Church of the Highlands

Our country may be broken and divided in a lot of places but we have a lot of love and unity here as well.  I am so thankful for all those who have put their life on the line to protect the freedom in our country. May each and everyone of us do the same, standing up for those whose freedom is infringed upon, by loving them well.

We are free to love our neighbors well, with wide-open hearts and hands and homes in wide-open spacious places! That is something to celebrate and get creative with don’t you think? First,  may we realize who our neighbor really is. I don’t think the answer has anything to do with zip codes.

2 Cor. 4:8-10 MSG

“You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us – trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us – he lives!”

How will we let Jesus live in and through us today?

And just in case you missed it, here is the song again:) I promise you don’t want to miss it.
