Finding Jesus in Unexpected Places This Christmas

God really meant it when He said, “Seek Me and you will find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Seeing God’s Word as a Love Letter, instead of a behavior modification plan, changed the objective of my treasure hunt. I no longer read the Bible to find a plan, a purpose or a point of destination. I read to converse with the Lover of my soul, to breathe the Breath of Heaven and to feast on the Bread of Life.  Jesus is on the scene way before Matthew 1:1. HE was One with God; HE was, is and will always be God before the foundation of the world in Genesis. The Scarlet Thread of Jesus is all through the Old Testament and it is a thrilling adventure to go GOLD-DIGGING for Him from Genesis to Malachi!

This is my 10th year of freedom walking with the Lord and the 10th year I have read His Love Letter in its entirety, Genesis to Revelation, not to check a box but to literally be transformed more into the likeness of Jesus.  I am not boasting in myself; I am boasting in the God Who made such a promise, the Promise Keeper!  Our minds are renewed as they soak in the pages of Scripture, pages that are the swaddling skin that wrapped Almighty God as a baby in a manger over 2000 years ago this Christmas.

God will continue to give us fresh perspective and divine revelation through His Word because It is alive and active, not dead and passive. God opened my eyes in a MAJOR way  through the MINOR prophet, Hosea, this Christmas. I sought and found the Savior and wanted to share my new gold with you.

Prepare to receive!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Jesus Sightings in Hosea:

What does it look like when God’s “compassion overflows?”(Hosea 11:8) It looks like LOVE COMING DOWN, Jesus!

What does it look like when God shows up for His kids as “a refreshing dew from Heaven?” (Hosea 14:5) That refreshing dew is JESUS!

What does it look like when God says, “my love knows no bounds?” (Hosea 14:4) Boundless love looks like God putting skin on, like Jesus moving into the neighborhood.

I pray that you receive Jesus in UNEXPECTED ways this Christmas, as you seek Him

in UNUSUAL WAYS,

in OUT-OF-THE-ORDINARY PLACES,

ALL OF THE TIME,

and

in EVERY PERSON!

And

as you fill up on the gold of THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL – JESUS, give Him out generously

in UNUSUAL AND USUAL WAYS,

in OUT-OF-THE-ORDINARY AND ORDINARY PLACES,

ALL OF THE TIME,

and

to EVERY PERSON!

Now that I have shared some of my Jesus finds, I would love to receive some of yours.

Where have you experienced Christ unexpectedly?

How have you encountered Jesus in unusual ways?

Where in Scripture have you been surprises by a Jesus sighting?

Who has shocked you with their radiant reflection of Christ?
