31 Days of Hindsight: Day 10

Hello Journeymen!
I am so glad you are traveling back with me, in order to move forward into 2017 encouraged and empowered together!
If you are taking your own personal hindsight look, as you track with mine, what have your journals, checkbook, calendar or social media reminded you of from 2016? And how are you going to let it propel you positively into 2017?
You will get 2 posts: Day 10 now, and Day 11 before midnight:) I know you are waiting on pins and needles:)
I made a commitment to do this year-end review, in order to REMEMBER GOD’S FAITHFULNESS IN THE PAST, which builds my FAITH IN THE PRESENT and GIVES ME HOPE FOR THE FUTURE! I pray you are gleaning from your own story, the story you and God are writing together, growing and preparing to go into 2017 KNOWING :
GOD IS THERE;
HE IS GOOD
AND
WHATEVER MAY COME, WE ARE STILL OVERCOMERS IN CHRIST!
THE VICTORY IS NOT UP FOR GRABS!
LOVE WON!

31 Days of Hindsight: Day 10
As Spring of 2016 came to a close, I noticed my journals were covered in Isaiah 61:
**(Take a moment to soak in the passage below. It will time well spent and you will not be sorry:)
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+61&version=NLT
I write pages about this passage every year when I get to it. I love hearing God call me an “oak of righteousness” and tell me that “I am a display of HIS splendor.” For anyone who has ever struggled with shame or insecurity, those words lift chins, dry tears and breathe LIFE that no one can take away!
Once again, God’s timing is impeccable. There is no coincidence that the last day of Freedom Conference would tackle the monster, SHAME, on the same day I unpacked it in my “hindsight journal review.”
In yesterday’s post, I told you a little about the 7 areas the Freedom Conference addresses in order to expose the lies of the enemy, cleaning out the junk we have stored up for years. Replacing lies with TRUTH, about who and WHOSE we are, prepares our hearts to receive the MORE God has in store, the MORE that the Holy Spirit intends to fill us with in order to boldly live out our God-given calling on this earth.
Shame, for me, and probably some of you, can come on like a tidal wave at the most unexpected times, even when we “know in our knower” the TRUTH!
SHAME IS NOT FROM GOD!
The more we write God’s word on our heart, the more equipped we are to fight the enemy when he sneaks in. Knowing and believing Isaiah 61:7
Instead of shame and dishonor,
you will enjoy a double share of honor.
You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land,
and everlasting joy will be yours.
enables and empowers me to almost immediately shut out that “shame” voice whenever I hear it. It is not a religious mantra; it is a “double-edged” sword that works in the spiritual battle, the battle we may not see but we definitely feel.
What do you do when you fall prey to the voices in your head, voices you may know are not true but they are painful and paralyzing nonetheless?
Being aware of our weak links, where the enemy relentlessly pokes at each of us, enables us to prepare in advance for when the attacks come, and they will come. Fighting back with God’s Word is ALWAYS A WIN-WIN SCENARIO.
Here are 2 ways memorizing Scripture quips us:
1- Gives us words of life to chew on and savor in the good times, letting them salt and season us to shine
2-When the attacks come, those same words become the “reflex” sword that cuts down the lie, propelling us forward, victorious, joyful and FREE!
When we are aware, we can prepare!

31 Days of Hindsight: Day 10
Several of my Freedom group participants said they would love to have the declarations we claimed over each area. In our leader handbook, we were given a copy of each one; therefore, I have decided to write them out here on my blog, so that I, and anyone who reads my blog, will have a permanent arsenal to pull from, maybe even write them on their hearts as well. I am not going to write out all 7 today. I am just going to include the declarations, as they apply to the daily post.
***I went back and added the declaration over REJECTION to yesterdays post-31 Days of Hindsight: Day 9 !
Today- SHAME gets the boot!
Read it, savor it, believe it and declare it! It is TRUTH. It is mine and it is yours!
Declaration against Shame:
God chose me before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, has redeemed me. The blood of Jesus washes away my sin. The blood of Jesus purifies my heart. The blood of Jesus cleanses my conscience. The blood of Jesus gives me a fresh start. God lifted me out of a slimy pit, out of the mud and mire, and placed me on a rock. I am forgiven-He remembers my sin no more. I am forgiven-He blots out my transgressions.
As far as the east is from the west are my sins from me. As high as the heavens are above the earth: so great is His love for me.
I no longer condemn myself, and neither does God condemn me. I silence the accuser now! Satan is the father of lies. By the power of the blood-I tear down the veil of shame.
Lord, take these worthless fig leaves, and clothe me in Your righteousness. I run from darkness to light. My face is radiant and unashamed. Instead of shame, I will receive double honor. I will never be put to shame again. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!
Amen
