What is Writing to You?

There has been enough flexing in this world to last forever and “never let them see you sweat” is terrible advice!
Pondering why and what I write.
Please share any writing thoughts you have.
I would love to know what writing is to you. Please add to my list in the comments.
For me, writing is:
therapy,
kindness to myself,
a way to show love to others
a friend who is always available
the content of my heart, that I am sometimes unaware of
a whisper that makes me lean in
a laugh that makes my abs hurt
a eulogy
a lament
a memory
a breath of fresh air
a safe place that allows me to reach outside my comfort zone
a dream or vision or hope brave enough to be put on paper
a gift…

I love ALL your “what writing is to me!”
The best way for us to learn is to communicate what we’re learning back to someone else; for writers, that’s through writing. So for me, I write what I hear The Lord saying to me….what I feel like He is show me…sharing what I’m learning.
Love your blog Katie!
