Sorority Rush Prayer #3

FullSizeRender 4

For all of God’s girls who may call themselves SHY, it is important for you to know you are not overlooked or undervalued.

You have a Creator who specifically fashioned you exactly as you are to do all HE has called you to and created you for.

Lord, remove any fear Your girls may have of rejection or social disapproval.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”      2 Timothy 1:7 NLT

“Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 NASB

Help them to confidently embrace who You made them to be.

“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.”

Psalm 139:14-16 MSG

Lord, You already know where and with whom your girls will flourish best.  Your plans always trump ours.

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”  Proverbs 16 9 NLT

“Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it” Psalm 37:5 NASB

Give your introverted girls discernment, peace and joy in this sometimes “overstimulating” season. Help them to fill up in solitude, so they can shine their quiet, extremely needed, radiant light in social settings.

Lord, open the eyes of Your Greek girls to be noticers, treasure hunters by nature, searching for the gold in everyone.

In the book, The Noticer, by Andy Andrews a mysterious man named Jones offers a lot of wisdom and godly perspective.

He explains that he has been given a gift of noticing things that others miss.

“Your time on this earth is a gift to be used wisely…Don’t squander your words or your thoughts. Consider even the simplest actions you take, for your lives matter beyond measure…and they matter forever.”

May your Greek houses be given a supernatural gift of NOTICING and helping to bring out the God-given gifts in each girl who comes through their doors.

Amen
