(Week 30) Reflection: The Bridge

Story behind the painting:

A friend recently blessed me with notes from her journal. Most of what I am about to share are her words and not mine.

She sent me a drawing with a vision and the scriptures as they poured out of her. She felt it somehow brought clarity and great meaning, knowing it was one of her HOLY GROUND moment, a gift from God, a pause of sacred connection.

She said she was overwhelmed with an urging desire to contact me! I am so incredibly grateful and in awe of Our God.  I get a small glimpse into another sisters “glory gaze” and that is beyond words.  I do not take it lightly or for granted.  I am savoring!

Directly from her notes:

TREACHEROUS WATERS (above)

OLD TESTAMENT—- THE BRIDGE——NEW TESTAMENT

LIVING WATER(foundation)

_____________________________________

OLD TESTAMENT : Numbers 6:24-26; Deuteronomy 30:20

“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”  Numbers 6:24-26

“and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” Deut. 30:20

THE BRIDGE : Revelation 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

NEW TESTAMENT: Micah 7:7; Romans 12:2

“But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
I wait for God my Savior;
my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

From the Old Testament to the New Testament we cross over a bridge that has both “earthly” treacherous water and “spiritual” Living waters flowing below.

How do we navigate?

How do we build a “bridge”, make the walk?

What is (must be) our focus?

_____________________

WOW!!! What a beautiful revelation and intimate conversation between her and the Lord, that she allowed me to eavesdrop on !

The painting above, “Reflection: The Bridge” , is my interpretation of her holy inspiration.

I kept picturing the treacherous water as a wave and the Living water as a glassy sea.  The “Red Cross” in the middle is the “The Bridge” between the two.

I use the title REFLECTION because it has a 2 fold meaning:

Reflection: the serious thought or consideration, and prayer I gave to the inspiration my friend shared with me.

Reflection: am image or representation of

“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord–who is the Spirit–makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” 2 Cor. 3:18

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Gen. 1:27

The layers continue to unfold but I pray you will put on your own “GLORY GOGGLES” and let HIM show you what only HE can!

Would love for you to share what you see!

Take-away Treasure:

The greatest treasure I pray you take away from this post, is that God speaks personally to each of us.

My precious sister kept a record of her conversations with God in her journal and she continues to see God write their personal love story day by day, word by word.

God is speaking to you and to me all of the time, through HIS Word, experiences, encounters with people, dreams or visions, art, nature, etc… God can use whatever or whomever HE wants to get our attention. HE wants our attention because HE LOVES US, delights in us, and sings over us!

Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV) : “The Lord your God …will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Psalm 37:23 (NLT): God “delights in every detail of [your] life.”

And 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP): God “cares for you affectionately and He cares about you watchfully.”

I pray you start journaling your journey with Jesus if you don’t already.  Logging our conversations with God is never a waste of time.  We see HIS faithfulness and we leave a written legacy of eternal Love for the generations coming behind us.
