My fingerprints are all over the keys to my lap top.  Where we spend our time is where we leave our mark.  As a follower of Christ, it is my greatest desire to leave “a yellow brick road” in my wake, leading straight to Jesus, not me.  The letters (blog posts) that I leave are HIS FINGERPRINTS in and through me.

As the new year begins, I have made a commitment to the “writing process”.   In actuality, I have made a commitment to the “process”,  in general.  I am no longer striving for a completed product, a mountain peak, a finish line or gold medal.  I am already a masterpiece (so are you by the way) because God said so.  And what God says IS and what God says is TRUE!

“For we are God’s masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”  Ephesians 2:10

“For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” Psalm 33:9

“God is not a man, so he does not lie.  He is not human, so he does not change his mind.  Has he ever spoken and failed to act?   Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”  Numbers 23:19

I boast here in Christ alone, because only a good, never changing, ever present, all knowing God could make these ruins sing, or write.   Each one of us is CUSTOM MADE, for such a time as this.  And the time is NOW!  Each one of us is CUSTOM MADE, to do the good things He planned for us long ago.  If something is custom made, or customized, it is built according to personal specifications.   As I have been in the PROCESS of redesigning and “customizing” this blog, Psalm8110,  I have been a bit overwhelmed by the details I can pick and choose from.  Psalm8110 is still a work in progress, customizations are still being made, but I’ve decided to take my readers along for the ride, instead of waiting for the proverbial perfection before posting!  Yes, I will edit but some mistakes will slip through.  A slip up that leads to progress is still better than paralysis to publish!

As with “The Blog”, our “personal specifications” are determined by our Creator.  God is our Creator. We are the product. We are custom made to fulfill His purposes.  This is what it looks like to be a MASTERPIECE IN PROGRESS!

We hear these quotes:

“If HE calls you to it, HE will enable you to do it.”

“God does not call the equipped; HE equips the called.”

What these quotes really mean:

“The ONE who called you is completely dependable.  If HE said it, he’ll do it!”  1 Thess 5:24 (MSG)

“There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the day Christ Jesus appears.”  Philippians 1:6 (MSG)

“For it is God who is at work with in you, giving you the will and the power to achieve HIS purpose.” Philippians 2:13 (PHILLIPS)

I am personally learning that the only failure is not to try.  I know that sounds cliche but it is true.  My CUSTOM MADE fingerprints have some tiny ridges on them that say WRITING.  It is part of my DNA and Luke 17:21(PHILLIPS) says that “The Kingdom of God is within me”; therefore, that is what my WRITING is “There For”!  Writing is one of those “good things” HE created me for, long ago, a good thing that sprinkles the “Kingdom of God” every where it goes.  My “yellow brick road” begins in the Kingdom and it also leads others to the Kingdom.  My CUSTOM MADE path is paved in print.

“PUBLISH His glorious deeds among the nations.  Tell everyone about the amazing things He does.” Psalm 96:3 (NLT)

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a _______________.” Jeremiah 1:5

**Jeremiah was called as a prophet to the nations.

**What has GOD already put in your BLANK SPACE? (Don’t go all Taylor Swift on me here either:)

What is your “yellow brick road” paved in?

My church is beginning the year with #21daysofprayer and fasting.  One of my prayer focuses is THE PROCESS.   New Year’s Resolutions can be so goal oriented, that THE PROCESS is overlooked.  I want my goal to simply be to live in a state of PROCESS AND PROGRESS.  I pray that everyone who reads this will  consider going to The Throne Room for themselves, worshipping the Lord for WHO he is and what HE has already done, thanking Jesus for the masterpiece that HE has crafted them to be and asking Him to fill in their BLANK SPACE.

“May the God of Hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in HIM; so that HOPE overflows from you by the power of the Holy Spirit! ”  Romans 15:13
